Welcome! Our goals for global dermatology are to expand high-quality educational opportunities, provide international educational experiences, address global issues affecting patient health and care, and to meet the needs of underserved patients.
At the X International Congress of Dermatology (XICD) held in Prague (May 2009), the global reach of ISD was in evidence. Over 105 countries were represented and over 347 scholarships distributed.
Never resting, we announced two new initiatives to address Climate Change & Dermatology and underserved populations with Community Dermatology. At the same time, ISD will continue to expand successful programs including our Mentoring Program, Regional Meetings and our Maria Duran Awards and lectures.
