Letters of Support on Behalf of Applicants for Board or Officer Positions

The Nominating Committee of the ISD is inviting applications from the membership for positions on the Board of Directors as well as for Officer positions.  The Nominating Committee will review the applicants for nomination and select candidates for each open position. The membership will vote on the slate of candidates at the General Membership Meeting at the 2021 International Congress of Dermatology hosted in Melbourne, Australia, November 10-13, 2021.

Applications and letters of support are due January 31, 2021.

The positions available are listed below and require an application.

If you would like to write a letter of support for an applicant for one of the positions, please use the form below to write to the Nominating Committee.   

If you wish to apply for a Board or Officer Position yourself, you do not need to complete this form but you should return to the link labeled APPLICATION FOR BOARD AND OFFICER POSITIONS.

Requirements for Nomination

Only Regular and Individual Sponsoring Members in good standing for at least three (3) years may be nominated for the Board of Directors (including Officers).

Applicants must provide the following information to the Nominating Committee:

• Years of ISD Membership
• Activities on behalf of the Society
• Personal Statement describing qualifications
• Short CV - not to exceed 2 pages.

Candidates will be selected based upon leadership skills, ethical conduct, level of activity in the specialty of dermatology and especially commitment to the Society.

Open Positions

Officers:

• President (1 term)
• Executive Vice President (1 term)
• Secretary-General (2 terms)
• Associate Secretary-General (1 term)
• Treasurer General (2 terms)
• Archivist-Historian (2 terms)

Vice Presidents (10 total for 1 term)

Directors (25 total, eligible for re-election)

* A term is from one International Congress of Dermatology to the next.

Applicants for positions on the Board of Directors or as Officers may not personally contact, verbally or in writing, any of the members of the Nominating Committee. This conduct will lead to the applicant's dismissal from consideration.
