It is my pleasure as president of the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) to welcome you to our web site. We invite you to become better acquainted with our Society through this web site.

As a member of the most important, international, individual dermatologist membership society, you will receive the official journal of the Society, the International Journal of Dermatology, as part of your membership dues - both the printed and on-line versions. You will have access not only to current issues but also the archived issues and are welcome to participate as  an author. Members have access to reduced fees and scholarships for numerous regional meetings, the International Congress of Dermatology and to short courses. Several books and book chapters from texts of tropical dermatology are also offered as an added value for members.

The ISD priority is to support young dermatologists from less developed countries in their learning, teaching and investigational activities.  Become a member and confirm our claims are supported by facts!

Every five years the ISD convenes its International Congress of Dermatology. The recent ISD International Congress held in Prague (May 2009) celebrated the society's 50th anniversary.
